Giving Back to our Communities
Employees at Design Roofing have many opportunities to support local charities and be part of the community. Each year We sponsor children through the Children’s Wish Foundation and raise funds to grant their wishes. Design Roofing and staff hold fundraisers and attend events to make this all happen.
We also support the Cancer Society, Canuck Place and Ride to Conquer Cancer to name a few. As a member of PAMA (Professional Association of Managing Agents) we participate in several fundraising events with proceeds going to charity. We also make a point of supporting local businesses and look within our own community first for all vendor selection.
Helping the Community During Covid-19 Restrictions
SHARE Family & Community Services
When the pandemic hit BC we knew we had to help people in our community who were up against really tough times. SHARE Family & Community Services was our first choice because they are so closely tied to the community where we are headquartered. They knew how to best utilize resources and fast. We proudly donated $10,000 to SHARE on March 23, 2020. They are an organization that we highly value and we thank them for all the hard work they do.
Lookout Housing and Health Society
As the pandemic wore on Design Roofing looked for another opportunity to give back. We found the Lookout Housing and Health Society and were amazed by how much they do. Operating 42 facilities in Metro Vancouver and the Island, along with support services and programs is a big deal. We appreciate this organization so much and made $10,000 donation on April 29, 2020.
