St. Paul’s Lights of Hope Celebration

Ever since the first Lights of Hope celebration in 1998 the event has become a staple in Vancouver’s Christmas season. The elaborate decorations and fireworks display makes this longstanding tradition and event you cannot miss. The display features over 10 kilometers of lights, 100,000 light blubs and is constructed over 6 weeks by more than 150 selfless volunteers using donated materials.  At the center of this magical display are hundreds of sponsored stars which St. Paul’s uses to acknowledge its largest donations.

The celebration is used to raise money for the hospital to fund equipment, research, and teaching as well as to support its different endeavor throughout out province and the world. This year St. Paul’s Hospital, the foundation staff and volunteers have pledge $400,000 to this amazing cause and they are challenging the community to help them reach their goal of $3 million. With more than 3 weeks left until Christmas and currently $2.3 million in donations they are well on their way to achieving their goal.

This year the Design Roofing family is proud to be a part of the celebration and extremely honored to have our very own star as part of the display. We believe in our community and giving back and could not think of a better cause to be a part of during the season of giving. Our hope this year is to inspire others to give back, no mater how big or small, to those who need it most. Let’s all work together to help St. Paul’s Lights of Hope celebration reach its $3 million goal.
