As a member of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) and the Roofing Contractors Association of BC (RCABC), our professional approach to commercial and industrial roof installation, roof maintenance and repairs has earned us a reputation of excellence among architects, general contractors, roof consultants and building owners alike.

Company History

1984

Design Roofing was founded with an office in a barn in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia.

Our fleet consisted of 2 trucks and 15 employees. A small sheet metal shop was soon established.

1996

We outgrew our first office and moved headquarters from Pitt Meadows to a brand new building in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

With the expansion came the expansion and large scale upgrade of our in-house Sheet Metal fabrication shop.

2000

We outgrew our Maple Ridge office and once again expanded to a larger office space now headquartered in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.

2008 – 2010

Work on the Olympic Village

2011

Establishment of our “Before & After” reporting system. We were the first company to provide our clients with step by step reports of all the work we completed on their roof to allow them to see what we see and do.

Expansion into the East. We established and opened our Greater Toronto office and company known as Detail Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd. headquartered in Brampton, Ontario.

Our fleet grew in size to what is now the largest in the Lower Mainland with 30 trucks and 70 employees allowing response times of 4 hours or less.

2013

Implementation of our In-House Training Programs – “Foreman Training 101″ which puts our apprentices currently enrolled in the RCABC (Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia) training program on a fast-track to becoming a Foreman in our company.

For our Ontario employees, we developed the Top Gun program where new Ontario employees travel to our head offices and train with our Foremen to ensure our established high training standards are upheld throughout the entire company. We are the first Roofing company to offer these types of programs and have seen great success thus far. For more information on careers with us click here.

2014

Port Coquitlam Office expansion. Space at our head office got tight so we have newly expanded and doubled our office space to allow for more room and growth.

Greater Toronto Office Expansion – After just 3 short years in our Brampton Office we have now doubled our office space and relocated to brand new headquarters located in Mississauga, Ontario.
